Robin Ellacott

Al Rokeby – Cormoran Strike’s half-brother. Son of Jonny Rokeby.

Andy Hutchins – One of Strike and Robin’s subcontractors.

Aunt Joan – Strike’s aunt, who lives in St Mawes, Cornwall.

Charlotte Campbell – Strike’s ex-girlfriend of sixteen years.

Dave Polworth – One of Strike’s oldest friends from Cornwall.

Dominic Culpepper – A journalist for whom Strike does the occasional job.

Eric Wardle – A Detective Sergeant (later Inspector) with the Metropolitan Police.

Graham Hardacre – Strike’s friend and ex-work colleague in the SIB.

Greg – Strike’s brother-in-law, married to Lucy.

Ilsa Herbert – One of Strike’s oldest friends from Cornwall. Married to Nick Herbert.

Jago Ross – Charlotte Campbell’s ex.

Jack – Strike’s favourite nephew. Middle son of Lucy and Greg.

Jonny Rokeby – Strike’s biological father, who he’s only met twice. A famous rockstar of the band The Deadbeats.

Katie – Robin’s favourite cousin.

Leda Strike – Strike’s late mother. A supergroupie and huge Blue Oyster Cult fan.

Linda Ellacott – Robin’s mother who lives in Masham, Yorkshire.

Lucy  – Cormoran Strike’s half-sister.

Martin Ellacott – One of Robin’s three brothers.

Matthew Cunliffe – Robin’s partner.

Max Priestwood – Robin’s live-in landlord.

Michael Ellacott – Robin’s father who lives in Masham, Yorkshire. A sheep expert.

Michelle “Midge” Greenstreet – One of Strike and Robin’s subcontractors.

Mitch Patterson – Boss of one of Strike and Robin’s rival detective agencies.

Nick Herbert – One of Strike’s oldest friends.

Pat Chauncey – Strike and Robin’s office manager (Troubled Blood onwards).

Penny Polworth – Dave Polworth’s wife.

Peter Gillespie – Jonny Rokeby’s lawyer.

Prudence DonLeavy – Strike’s half-sister who, like Strike, is an illegitimate offspring of Rokeby.

Richard Anstis – Strike’s friend and former army colleague who works for the Met.

Roy Carver – A Detective Inspector with the Metropolitan Police.

Ryan Murphy – A CID officer in the Met police.

Sarah Shadlock – Matthew Cunliffe’s friend from university.

Sam Barclay – One of Strike and Robin’s subcontractors.

Shanker – Strike’s contact for anything in London’s criminal underworld.

Spanner – The person Strike turns to for help with computers.

Tracey – Strike’s ex-girlfriend from the SIB.

Uncle Ted – Strike’s uncle, who lives in St Mawes, Cornwall.

Valentine Longcaster – Charlotte Campbell’s step-brother.

Vanessa Ekwensi – A detective in the Met and later Robin’s friend.
