Gerrard’s Corner – A Chinese restaurant in Chinatown.
Hamleys Toy Shop – Where Strike buys gifts for the children in his life.
  Masham – The small town in Yorkshire where Robin grew up and where her parents and brothers still live.
New Scotland Yard – The Metropolitan Police Service’s headquarters, where Strike often finds himself.
Oxford Street – A famous shopping street near Denmark Street.
Piccadilly Circus – The iconic circular thoroughfare in London.
The Ritz – A famous hotel.
  St. Mawes – The small town in Cornwall where Strike spent half his childhood, and where his Aunt Joan and Uncle Ted still live.
