Kieran was Lula Landry‘s regular driver and a part-time actor in small roles. He is described as a man in his mid-twenties, short, slight and extravagantly good-looking. Cormoan Strike first meets Kieran in the Phoenix Cafe in Brixton. Kieran parks his car on Electric Lane during the interview, a street just around the corner from the cafe.

Later in the book, after interviewing Ciara Porter, Kieran drives Strike and Ciara to Uzi, the nightclub where they meet up with Evan Duffield.

In the TV series, Strike, Kieran is renamed as Nico (perhaps to avoid confusion with the similar-sounding name Ciara?)
