Filming for the fourth instalment of the Strike series, Lethal White, is well underway. Shooting began in early September and is rumoured to wrap sometime around Christmas. No official air date has yet been announced, but according to a letter posted on Twitter, it could be autumn 2020 before we get to see Strike and Robin on our screens again.

Some exciting casting announcements were made back in September. Joining Tom Burke and Holliday Grainger will be Robert Glenister as Jasper Chiswell, who is also the narrator for the Strike audiobooks!

Natasha O’Keeffe will be returning as Strike’s ex-fiancé Charlotte Campbell, who we saw briefly in The Cuckoo’s Calling and The Silkworm.

Also joining the cast is actor Joseph Quinn as Billy Knight, a disturbed witness who comes to Strike’s office claiming he saw a child murdered years previously.

Actor Nick Blood will be portraying Billy’s older brother, Jimmy Knight, a hard-left activist who is blackmailing MP Jasper Chiswell (Robert Glenister.)

Also joining the cast (though his role has not yet been confirmed) is actor Ken Christiansen, who posted this photo on his Instagram account:

Susan Tully will be directing the episodes, with Ruth Kenley-Letts returning as producer for the series and Tom Edge as writer.

Below is a photo of what looks like Lucy Briers, an actress who, earlier this year, starred alongside Tom Burke in an adaptation of Rosmersholm, a play by Henrik Ibsen which is also quoted throughout the Lethal White book.
