Towards the end of the book, Strike hatches a plan to get the evidence he needs.  He has his temporary secretary, Alyssa, make noisy plans to visit a nightclub, Corsica Studios, within earshot of his suspect.

The plan works.  The suspect goes to the club in pursuit of Alyssa, watched by Shanker.  This leaves his residence clear for Strike to search. (Chapter 60)

Corsica Studios is a music and arts venue located in two railway arches in Elephant and Castle.

The suspect searches the dance floor and the bar for Alyssa, without success.

Realising he is being followed, he flees through the fire exit and out into the night.
