The sixth series of Strike, The Ink Black Heart, has now wrapped. Shooting commenced on Monday, 12th February, and the final scene was filmed on the evening of Friday, 26th April, 2024.
The StrikeFans team were lucky enough to watch several days of the filming, and we’re excited to share some of our photos with you!
Scenes were filmed in Highgate Cemetery on the 21st and 22nd of March.
Earlier that same week, filming took place at the Ship & Shovell in central London, both in the pub and on nearby streets.
The Denmark Street scenes were shot toward the end of March, when we got our first glimpses of Stephen Hagan, who is playing Richard Murphy (a name change from the book character), and Mirren Mack, who is playing Edie Ledwell.
Other scenes were filmed in late February in Regent’s Park.
In mid-April, they filmed inside and outside the Tate Britain, where we saw Tupele Dorgu, who has been cast as Midge.
The same day, scenes of Robin on surveillance from the Land Rover were filmed on a street in Battersea.
The last scenes to be shot, of Robin walking along the street and then sitting and working on her laptop, were filmed in and near Kozzy Cafe in Holborn.
Although an exact air date has not yet been set, we can hope to see The Ink Black Heart on BBC One in either late 2024 or early 2025. We will continue to bring you more news on casting as it comes in and, nearer the air date, some more behind-the-scenes pics!
We’re looking forward to seeing the final product — from what we’ve seen and heard so far, it’s going to be great!
