“Platinum” is Strike and Robin’s nickname for the young Russian woman they are surveilling for their client “Two-Times.” Platinum wears platinum-coloured hair extensions and works as a lap-dancer at Spearmint Rhino to fund her studies at the London School of Economics.

Two-Times has a habit of hiring Strike to tail his girlfriends (who tend to be blonde) to find out if they are being unfaithful to him. Remarkably, Platinum appears to be monogamous.
