According to Amazon, The Silkworm DVD is set to be released on February 19th.
Strike – Career of Evil is set to be released sometime in February on BBC One, with a total of two episodes. Here’s a synopsis:
When a mysterious package is delivered to Robin Ellacott, she is horrified to discover that it contains a woman’s severed leg.
Her boss, private detective Cormoran Strike, is less surprised but no less alarmed. There are four people from his past who he thinks could be responsible – and Strike knows that any one of them is capable of sustained and unspeakable brutality.
With the police focusing on the one suspect Strike is increasingly sure is not the perpetrator, he and Robin take matters into their own hands, and delve into the dark and twisted worlds of the other three men. But as more horrendous acts occur, time is running out for the two of them…
Strike – The Cuckoo’s Calling and The Silkworm both aired on BBC One last August/September. The series, adapted from J.K. Rowling’s successful novels, received wide critical acclaim and much praise for both leading roles played by Tom Burke and Holliday Grainger. The Cuckoo’s Calling DVD was released back in November in the UK.
Meanwhile, Robert Galbraith (aka J.K. Rowling) is still writing the fourth Cormoran Strike novel, Lethal White, which will hopefully be published sometime this year.
When will they be released in the US? We’ve had such a rough year over here, it would be such a joy to see the TV version of one of my favorite book series of all times.
The shows are due to release on Cinemax in June for U.S. viewers. We hope they help you feel better!
