The Ink Black Heart TV Locations – Episode 3

Here are the known filming locations, in the order they appear, for Episode 3 of Strike: The Ink Black Heart.

‘Police Station’ – Royal College of Physicians

After watching Murphy interview Ormand, Strike, Robin and Barclay meet outside the police station.  This scene was filmed in the morning of 27th February 2024 outside the Royal College of Physicians, St Andrews Place, NW1.

Docklands Light Railway

Strike (dressed as Darth Vader) and Robin, take the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Comic Con.  This scene was filmed on a DLR train heading west from Beckton towards Tower Gateway, in the area of the Gallions Reach/Cyprus stations.

Comic Con

Comic Con was filmed on a set in a disused call centre in West London from 25th to 28th March 2024.

The set had four main areas:

Entrance Lobby

Extras dressed in high vis vests acted as security guards and manned the ‘information desk’.

Main event area

At the far end of the lobby area was a wide set of stairs leading up to the main Comic Con event set.

This area was filled with more statues, stalls selling swords, shields and goody bags, and many costumed extras. Strike follows some attendees dressed as the cartoon’s characters towards the Ink Black Heart stand.

He changes into a Drek mask and speaks with Charlie Peach, also in a Drek mask.

Café

Meanwhile, Robin interviews Yasmin (Kitty Reed) in the Comic Con café, situated to the side of the lobby area on the ground floor.

Strike and Robin meet up again and discuss their findings at the bottom of the stairs. They then follow Oliver Peach (Jack Trueman) through the lobby and out of the building.

Prince Regent DLR station

The dramatic scenes showing Robin rescuing Oliver Peach from the tracks were shot at Prince Regent DLR station on 3rd March 2024, in the middle of the night after the trains had stopped running.

The Nivens’

Strike tries to speak to Kea Niven at her house, but she leaves and instead he speaks to her mother.

The Nivens’ house is located on Rectory Lane, Bushey.  The scene was filmed on 19th February 2024.

The King’s Arms

Strike interviews Kea Niven in the pub.  This scene was shot in The King’s Arms, Park Lane, Harefield, north-west London.

Unity Place, Kilburn

Robin’s new flat is located in Unity Place, a new development in Kilburn, north-west London.

Frensham Hall, Surrey

After finding out his real name, Strike and Robin drive to visit Vikas (aka Morehouse) (Rafi Solaiman) at his college.  These scenes were filmed at Frensham Hall, a school and event venue in Surrey.
