J.K. Rowling has today, 17th December 2024, posted on X/Twitter that she has finished writing the eighth book in the Cormoran Strike series, The Hallmarked Man.

She has also confirmed that she has already started work on the as yet unnamed Book 9!

Of course, there is no news quite yet about a publication date, but if previous release dates can be seen as a pattern, we should expect The Hallmarked Man to reach the bookshops late August or September 2025.
