Robin has spent the day waiting outside the Longcasters’ house in Belgravia, trying to speak to Cosima, without success.  She gives up and heads straight to Wanstead to meet Murphy at his favourite gastropub, The Duke, where he has booked a table (Chapter 75).

On the way from the tube station (most likely Snaresbrook station, considering the direction she is travelling from) to the pub, Robin’s mother calls.  As she listens to her speak about her brother Martin, another call comes through. She says goodbye to her mother and then has a conversation with Zeta in Ironbridge.

When Robin enters the pub, Murphy is already there.  He is sitting at a wooden table with a pint in front of him. 

Robin sits down and orders a glass of wine, and Murphy asks her questions about the Agency’s investigation into the silver vault case.  Murphy volunteers information about the getaway car, just as the waitress arrives to take their order.

Later, their conversation moves to more personal matters, to Robin’s dismay.
