After the bomb goes off in the office, Strike and Pat leave the building and sit in Starbucks. Strike texts Robin to tell her where they are, and she joins them.

The branch of Starbucks featured in The Ink Black Heart is no longer open. It was located on Charing Cross Road opposite the end of Denmark Street.

“Strike and Pat were sitting at the back of the coffee shop. There was blood on Strike’s collar and Pat looked paler than usual.” (The Ink Black Heart, Chapter 71)

Pat lost her e-cigarette due to the explosion and wants to go to Boots to replace it. Robin volunteers to go instead.

The nearest branch of Boots the Chemist is located on Tottenham Court Road, just on the other side of Oxford Street.  It is a three-minute walk from Starbucks.
