Founded in 1916, SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies) is a public research university located in Bloomsbury, central London.

In The Cuckoo’s Calling, Robin follows her own lead and visits SOAS University library with Lula Landry’s library card she took from Lula’s flat in Kentigern Gardens. Robin is trying to find out anything related to Professor Agyeman, Lula Landry’s biological father. 

Scenes for the TV series were also filmed in the library on 5th January 2017.
