After Strike and Robin spend the day at Comic Con, Strike meets Madeline for dinner at a restaurant in Pimlico called Kazan. Strike is slightly late as he has been delayed by having to give the police a statement about the events at Custom House Station that afternoon.

Kazan is a popular and well-reviewed Turkish restaurant a few minutes’ walk from Victoria Station and not far from Madeline’s house in Eccleston Garden Mews.

Strike is pleased with Madeline’s choice as he’s ready for a hearty meal and is fond of Turkish cuisine.
