John Bristow has now been cast for The Strike Series, coming to BBC One and HBO in late 2017. If you need reminding, Bristow is Cormoran Strike’s main client in The Cuckoo’s Calling, the first Strike novel. He is Lula Landry’s older brother and comes to Strike wanting him to reinvestigate Lula’s supposed suicide.
The wealthy lawyer is being portrayed by actor Leo Bill. You may know Bill from The Living and the Dead, in which he played a character called James Brocklebank. Bill has also had experience acting in theatre; in 2015 he played Horatio in a production of Hamlet, alongside Benedict Cumberbatch.
He might be little younger than his character, but we think Leo fits the part well. Let us know what you think in the comments below!
I imagined someone older but, that’s what make-up, costume and the acting are for! ❤
