Strike meets Jenny — the wife of Robin’s eldest brother, Stephen — at Robin and Matthew’s wedding reception when he is seated at a table with the couple. Jenny kindly passes Strike a pint and he’s so grateful that he “could have kissed her.” She is described as a “broad shouldered brunette.” ¹

In Troubled Blood, Jenny, gives birth to Robin’s first niece, Annabel Marie, shortly before Christmas.² Robin spends the holidays with her doting family, opening chocolates and cracking nuts for Jenny while she breastfeeds.³
