While we don’t actually know his real name, Jack o’Kent is the nickname given to the father of Jimmy and Billy Knight by Jasper Chiswell. Jack o’Kent used to work for Jasper Chiswell as an “odd-job man” while living on the grounds of the Chiswell house. He was an alcoholic and a physically abusive father. Raphael Chiswell described him as having a “sunken face and mad eyes” and that he “scared the hell out of me when I was a kid.”
