Strike – Troubled Blood is the fifth in the Strike series consisting of four 60-minute episodes which aired in the UK in December 2022 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Episodes 1 aired at 9pm on Sunday, 11th December 2022. Episode 2 aired on Monday, 12th December. Episode 3 and 4 aired Sunday, 18th December and Monday, 19th December. All 4 episodes were made available on BBC iPlayer after episode 1 aired on the 11th.
Promotional images were released to the press towards the end of November 2022, including one of Strike and Robin eating fish and chips in Skegness, and another of them stood in an alleyway.
Filming and Production
Filming for Troubled Blood began in January 2022 and wrapped in April 2022.

Reception
Troubled Blood received largely very positive reviews. The series was given praise for the acting from Tom Burke and Holliday Grainger, as well as all the supporting cast. Many viewers agreed that it is the most faithful adaptation of the book so far.
5.7 million people watched the first episode the night it aired, making it the most popular in the series to date.
The Independent gave the series 5 stars.
