Ashburnham Grove

This street in Greenwich, London, is where DI Richard Anstis lives with his wife Helly and son, Timothy Cormoran Anstis, who is also Strike’s godson.

In The Silkworm, Strike is invited by Anstis to his house for dinner so Anstis can update him on the Owen Quine investigation

Strike travels to Greenwich via the DLR (Docklands Light Railway). The nearest station is a short walk from Ashburnham Grove.

The street is described in the book as a “neat terraced street with well-tended gardens”. The Anstis’ exact house is not specified, so your guess is as good as ours.

If you ever visit Ashburnham Grove, there is a pub called The Ashburnham Arms. We’re sure Strike would have much preferred to meet Anstis in here rather than suffer the company of Helly.
