Although the town is mentioned only once in The Cuckoo’s Calling and once in Career of Evil, Aldershot played a significant role in Strike’s life. It’s the “Home of the British Army,” so Strike spent time there while serving. He “filched” some SIB notebooks for his own business use on his last visit there. As mentioned in Career of Evil, Strike is stationed at Aldershot when he fights Donald Laing in the boxing ring.
