After Strike hurts himself at Andrew Fancourt’s home, Robin and him walk down the street and celebrate his birthday in the Hawk pub.

The pub is now called “The Weir Bar” (24 Marketplace, Brentford) and it is only used for exterior shots.

The interior was filmed at the Hope and Anchor pub, the same location which was used for the first meeting of Strike and Matthew (it was The King’s Arms in the book), but with different decoration. In this gallery you can see the difference: ukfilmlocation.com
